Apollo Beach dog owners have a free Halloween outing on Oct. 31: Hillsborough County Parks & Recreation lists Paws in the Park at Apollo Beach Dog Park, with costume photos, prize picks and information vendors.
The county also framed the event as part of a broader month of free Halloween programming across its parks system.
Before you go
Owners can bring dogs in costume any time from 10 a.m. to noon for photos, with prizes for first, second and third place. Weather-related cancellations are possible, and the county says it will not offer rain checks.
The dog park is at 664 Golf and Sea Blvd., and county rules say dogs must be well behaved and on a 6-foot non-retractable leash. Officials also ask people to bring water.
